Ahnika Ebrel loves being a team player and looks forward to the competitive nature of the sport of lacrosse. As a goaltender, her poise in the net is crucial for her team’s success. Penalty shots, fast breaks, ground balls, it doesn’t matter, there’s nothing that she can’t stop, this is Eberl’s mindset.. The righty has proven that she’s not afraid to take a step outside of the crease in an effort break up a pass and stop the oncoming attack, she’s calm, cool and a beast in the net. By the end of last season, she boasted an average save percentage of 55%, as well as 4 ground balls and 2 interceptions per game.
Eberl doesn’t leave her competitive edge on the lacrosse field. The sophomore out of Schalick High School in New Jersey is a varsity soccer player, as well as winter and spring track. Even with her round-the-clock athletic endeavors, she is fully committed to education and proud of her 4.5 grade point average. If Eberl isn’t already on your list, then something must be wrong with your radar. This sophomore has an extremely promising future both on and off of the field of lacrosse. Catch her in July at the NPE 80!
